Our Vision is to be the NATURAL leader for improving Florida’s water quality.
Our Mission is to provide reliable solutions to industrial, municipal, and community water quality managers that are economically sound and in harmony with the environment.
We represent three companies (Medora Corporation, Applied Polymer Systems, and Ecological Laboratories) that meet our goals.
Medora Corporation is a world leader in scientific and engineered methods for in-situ water body treatment. The company invented the SolarBee in 1999, the world's first solar-powered water circulator - - a 2,500 gpm unit that operated during the daytime only. Hundreds were installed around the country to help communities extend the life of their facultative wastewater lagoons.
A few years later, they developed the SB10000 model, a daylight-only unit that quadrupled the original flow rate. Numerous improvements led to the current model - - a 14MGD high-flow circulator with a top-of-the-line custom motor that offers round-the-clock mixing for the toughest applications. With only a slight increase in overall costs, SolarBees now circulate 12 X the amount of the original model. They've been successfully applied to virtually every application, from stormwater ponds, 12,000 acre lakes, industrial and municipal wastewater lagoons, activated sludge basins, treated water storage tanks, and everything in between. The SB10000 v18 circulates an area of up to 30 acres and can offset 30 - 50 hp of grid-powered mechanical aeration.
MedoraCo designs and produces both SolarBee® (solar-powered) and GridBee® (electric-powered and submersible) equipment. This equipment is the foundation of E²'s water quality solutions. All models are designed for extreme reliability and have been providing millions of dollars in energy savings around the world for the last decade.
With thousands of installations across the U.S. and more than 15 countries, Medora Corporation is solving serious water quality problems in many types of water reservoirs. They also offer extensive project support assistance and have strong teams in application engineering, science, customer service, and field service ready to help you! There is no finer, more dependable equipment on earth. Let E² Water Solutions help you discover how this remarkable equipment can improve your water treatment and reduce your energy bill.
Florida’s subtropical climate and high levels of background phosphorous give our surface waters unique characteristics. In stormwater ponds, highly eutrophic lakes, and even wastewater treatment systems, the benefits of long-distant circulation can be enhanced with a choice of very effective supplements. In ponds and lakes, SolarBee or GridBee long distance circulators are used to distribute these supplements throughout the system, providing a fast, safe, economical and long-term improvement in water quality.
Applied Polymer Systems, Inc., is the developer of the APS 800 Series Pond Log®. Pond Logs were created to be used with the unique flow of the SolarBee and GridBee circulators. Pond Logs are made of a semi-solid anionic polyacrylamide that is safe and effective. Pond Log components are NSF and ANSI approved and through third party EPA toxicity testing the Pond Log has been proven safe for any type of water body. The Pond Log is effective for clarification of pond-lake systems by reducing phosphates and algae, decreasing suspended solids and metal discoloration removal which helps to decrease odors and produces high water quality. In multiple cases the APS 800 Series Pond Log has reduced the phosphate levels and consequently reduced harmful algae by up to 85%.
Ecological Laboratories is an international biotechnology company specializing in the development and production of microbial products for the natural treatment of environmental issues associated with the various uses of water. In 1976, Ecological Laboratories began producing MICROBE-LIFT, their one-of-a kind formula for use in a broad spectrum of applications in the agricultural, industrial and wastewater treatment fields.
Bacteria are nature’s recyclers and MICROBE-LIFT is one of the world’s best bioaugmentation products that allows nature to keep up with new, manmade compounds and also concentrations of pollutants that are higher than what would normally occur in nature. This unique product is made up of a special formula of beneficial bacteria, which, when introduced to a polluted area, immediately begins to reproduce and to degrade the compounds in the water or soil that cause pollution and its resulting bad odors and damage to the environment.
MICROBE-LIFT products clean the environment, getting rid of pollutants in an all-natural way by breaking them down to their basic elements and returning them to the biosphere. Because MICROBE-LIFT products are also biodegradable and non-toxic, they are safe to use around humans, pets and wildlife. They are truly some of the most environmentally friendly products available.
Ecological Laboratories uses outside testing labs for independent analysis of their products. Product testing and monitoring is done regularly as an important part of their quality control process, and their concern for quality assurance.
Mechanical aeration is often the most expensive process in municipal water processing. Increasing energy costs will make it more costly as time goes on. Maintenance adds to those costs. Conversely, SolarBee solar-powered circulation provides high-volume circulation and mixing without the ongoing energy bills. The equipment typically has a 2 - 4 year payback, requires little to no maintenance, and improves the treatment process. Cash-strapped communities have saved millions of dollars since the SolarBee was introduced in 1999. Their grid-powered equipment connect to a standard 110v outlet and offer similar savings when an electrical connection is preferred.
As high-quality water becomes increasingly scarce, it's important to protect our existing resources in a way that's in harmony with nature. Many of yesterday's solutions are creating today's problems. High horsepower aeration uses massive amounts of electricity - - power that is generated by burning fossil fuels that pollute our environment. Additionally, many chemicals used to control harmful algal blooms in community lakes and stormwater ponds are being banned worldwide due to their long-term negative effects. Copper sulfate, alum and chemical algaecides are toxic and can disrupt the natural food chain. Our goal is to provide quality, effective solutions that work with nature.
